Programme structure

Gain an overview of management with your compulsory courses. Then choose an additional two courses from different business areas. Accounting. Economics. Marketing. Computing. Human resources. Commercial law. 

Recognised qualification

This one-year diploma is endorsed by the New Zealand Institute of Management, the country's largest professional membership organisation.

At the end of your studies, you must apply to the New Zealand Institute of Management for your qualification. You can download the registration form from the NZIM website and attach proof of achievement accompanied by a fee of $35 per paper ($210 for six papers) and then post to NZIM.

Entry criteria

Under 20

  • 50 NCEA credits at Level 2 or above, with at least 12 credits in each of three subjects
  • Literacy- 8 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of 4 credits in reading and 4 credits in writing
  • Numeracy- 14 numeracy credits at Level 1 or above

20+

International

  • International students - minimum IELTS (academic) score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent.

International

To enrol as a international student you will need to download and complete our international enrolment form.

Once completed, you may submit the form and accompanying documentation directly to WelTec International, or go through one of our registered recruitment agents.
