Information Assurance and Security

Security specialists are in high demand within government, commercial and banking sectors, who require skilled professionals to future proof information and network access.

Networking

Networking specialists are needed to meet demand as businesses and people upgrade broadband and adopt wireless technologies.

Programming

Programmers create IT solutions using a range of codes or languages.

Software Engineering

Work in an area where information technology meets engineering. Put your ideas into action.

No Major: Design your Bachelor of Information Technology 
Customise your degree and choose the subjects that most interest you.

Double Major
Undertake a double major by completing an additional year of study. 

Once I started here, I got a chance to get straight into programming. Last term was C++, now we're learning Python.

  • NCEA Level 3 with at least 14 credits in each of 3 subjects
  • Literacy - 10 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of 5 credits in reading and 5 credits in writing
  • Numeracy - 10 credits at Level 1 or above
  • Or equivalent professional or educational experience of an appropriate kind.

International

Applying online is easy and takes only about 10 minutes.

You will need a few details:

  1. An email address you check regularly.

  2. The phone number of someone willing to be your emergency contact.

  3. Your date of residency if you are a permanent resident in NZ.

If you have your NZQA National Student Number and/or a WelTec Student ID it will help us process your application faster.

International

To enrol as a international student you will need to download and complete our international enrolment form.

Once completed, you may submit the form and accompanying documentation directly to WelTec International, or go through one of our registered recruitment agents.
